At the first warning of these illnesses, both in the cold season and in the summer (due to air conditioning and sudden changes in temperature), taking a decoction of ginger can reduce healing times and alleviate the symptoms . Moreover, this root is also effective on pains of various types , for example those of articular and rheumatic origin or, again, the spasms due to the menstrual cycle .         

In addition  ginger  exerts a detoxifying  and digestive action , helping the hard work of the stomach and liver . But its virtues do not end there: consuming ginger limits the absorption of sugars and is, therefore, also recommended for those suffering from high blood sugar .    

Thermogenic properties

The  ginger can help you  lose weight  due to its thermogenic . Like other spices (but much more pronounced), in fact, ginger leads the body to produce more heat(thermogenic) and, therefore, gives a beneficial boost to the metabolism helping to burn more fat and more calories.        

This action is also carried out by the chili , for example, which can then be added to the menu to further reinforce the gingerol burner action (active ingredient of ginger).

But how to use  ginger to lose weight? The Ayurvedic medicine recommended to have a liter of decoction of ginger throughout the day.   

First of all, to start a  slimming  and detoxifying (healthy) program, you can start the day with a  cup of decoction of ginger , alternating with a glass of lukewarm water and lemon (purifying action).  

The  decoction of ginger  is prepared starting from  the fresh root  (you buy in any supermarket), peeled and  cut into slices . The latter must be left to simmer with water , immersed in cold. The recommended consumption to promote weight loss , always within a balanced diet and low in sugar (as well as fat and sodium), is at least three large cups a day (unsweetened).    

If you do not have time to work the fresh root, sometimes you can replace the decoction with an infusion prepared from  ginger powder  (sold together with spices). Or, again, ginger can be added to dishes (grated) and savored as an aperitif (for the most “strong” palates).    

Candito does not help you lose weight

At the supermarket or in grocery stores, it is easy to find candied ginger . Exquisite and effective on cough and sore throat , this type of ginger, however, does not work if the purpose is weight loss .     

In fact, it is a product processed and processed with a lot of sugar (cane or white), therefore not suitable to be included in a slimming food program . Candied ginger is particularly pleasing to children , despite its spicy flavor, but should be consumed with care if you want to avoid the formation of plaque and  caries (tends to stick to your teeth).
